In the early 1970′s, families and The Carroll County community began forming partnerships to establish services for our citizens with developmental disabilities. Recognizing the need and having the commitment, they worked together and developed a vision and made it a reality.
Community Access Services
Community Access Services are designed to assist the participant in acquiring, retaining, or improving self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills required for active community participation and independent functioning outside the participant’s home or family home.
Through Supported Employment, staff from our Center help people with disabilities match their interest and skills to jobs. Supported Employment puts people with developmental disabilities to work in community businesses like yours.
Community Living Supports services provide a range of training and supportive services designed to support people with daily living in their own or family home.
CLS services are developed to enhance integration and to maximize the individuals own skills and abilities. All services are individualized and developed based on the specific needs of the person. Services are tailored to assist with the acquisition, retention, or improvement in participant’s skills for continued residents in their home.
